Thank you Chicago City Clerk Susana Mendoza and Chuck Hagopian for making this amazing event possible!
City Clerk Mendoza and Sister Alicia were joined by Palmer House Executive Chef Stephen Henry, Testa Produce Chef Courtney Barton and Chicago Public School Program Director Chef David Blackmon to prepare a holiday meals for 50 senior citizens.
Chicago Blackhawk Tony Esposito, Bears wide receiver Wendell Davis, White Sox slugger Ron Kittle, Bull forward Mickey Johnson and Chicago Sky’s star forward Tamera Young served the guests.
The food was prepared with the help of Roberto Clemente Community Academy and Carl Von Linne Elementary School’s culinary programs. While the guests dined, holiday favorites were sung by the Skinner West School Choir. Our friends at Common Threads will also joined the festivities.
