| The people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen. Matthew 4:16 |

| "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12 |

What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:3-5 We carry His light to the world.... or we fail to do so.... |
| You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16 |
| We saw darkness.... And yet..... there was light.... |
The word was out. Although the Thanksgiving turkeys were not to be distributed until 4:00, people began lining up at 12:30. There was a long line down the block by the time we opened at 4 pm. By 4:20 all 250 turkeys had been distributed. On Nov. 19, the food was gone so fast, we had no time to take pictures. People were still in line when we ran out of food. Some were not served. Some came late into the evening looking for food that was not there. The need is great. Would you stand in line almost 4 hours for a $20 turkey? |

| Whoever says he is in the light, yet hates his brother, is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother remains in the light... 1 John 2:9-10 |
| We give thanks to all & for all who brought light into this bleak neighborhood this year. Above are some who brought light to the Mission on Nov. 10 when they helped with the Mobile Food Pantry.
